Blueberry Yogurt Chocolate Bites

🫐 Adding yogurt to a chocolate blueberry bark absolutely brings it to the next level. Making it into the form of mini cubes gives it a better texture and prettier look, but also way more fun in the process.

Once frozen, it forms a crisp chocolate shell on the outside, with juicy blueberries and frozen yogurt inside. It really tastes like a fruity chocolate ice-cream. If you are on a diet, you can eat this bite-sized snack without guilty as it is made with simple and clean ingredients, and high in protein if using Quark or Greek yogurt.

🧾 Ingredients (makes ~3 cubes)

  1. Blueberries: 54 pieces (about 9 per layer)
  2. Dark chocolate: ~60g (60–85% recommended)
  3. Quark (or Greek yogurt): 80 to 100g

🍳 Instructions

  • Make the base

Arrange 9 blueberries into a small square. Make 6 squares in total.

  • Melt the chocolate

Put the chocolate into a piping bag and put it in a bowl of warm water. Let it sit until fully melted (Optional: add a little coconut oil for a smoother consistency).  Pipe a bit of melted chocolate between blueberries to “glue” them together. Freeze for about 10 minutes until set (the chocolate is solid and not sticky anymore)

  • Add yogurt layer

Pipe or spoon a layer of yogurt on top.

  • Make the top layer

Then place another blueberry chocolate bark on top like a sandwich.

  • Freeze, Storage & Serving

Freeze for about 1 hour until fully set.

Keep stored in the freezer. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before eating for the best texture.

❓Common Questions

  • Can I use regular yogurt instead of Quark or Greek yogurt?

Yes, but make sure it’s thick yogurt. If it’s too runny, the layers won’t hold well.

  • Can I use milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate?

You can, but it will be sweeter and softer. Dark chocolate gives a better contrast with the yogurt and blueberries.

  • Do I have to freeze them?

Freezing is recommended for the best texture. If not, they will be too soft and may fall apart.

  • How long can I store them?

Store in the freezer for up to 1–2 weeks in an airtight container.

  • Can I eat them straight from the freezer?

You can, but it’s best to let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes so it’s not too cold.

  • Why is my chocolate too thick when melting?

Try adding a little coconut oil to make it smoother and easier to pipe.

  • Can I use other fruits?

Yes! Strawberries, raspberries, or even mango work well.
